I'm an ass...
So I'm chatting online with my friend Jarret last night and am striking out left and right with my usual banter and stupid humor. I was so confused. I mean, Jarret is usually very receptive to my nonsensical ways and is quite fluent in Nonsense. I kinda wrote it off and said that there must be something with the moon or maybe I just inhaled too many loopy drywall fumes while tearing apart that bathroom yesterday.
Well, after responding with "huh?" for the 6th time or so, Jarret finally asked me what I was doing on Friday night. I told him I was going to see that movie Gatticca or Gothica or something (I really don't know anything about the flick since I'm going simply out of peer pressure). He asked if he could come along and I thought, SURE, why not. He's got a boyfriend named Phil, so I asked if I was going to have to share him that night or if he could be my date without all the fringe benefits. He says "Of course you could be my date." Ka-Ching! Then he asked who was going and I said Ben and Tim and Joe and maybe Gustermikey. He says "Who's Gustermikey?"
UH OH!
I met Jarret THROUGH Gustermikey.
::MOMENT OF REVALATION::
This guy isn't Jarret... Who the hell have I been talking to for 20 minutes??? Then it hit me. OMG, It's Rob! The kid who randomly found me online and chatted with me a little while back. I knew I would forget. Then I panicked--this is Rob who when asked how old he was said "Kinda like 17." Not for sure, But KINDA! And now I unintentionally had a date with him on Friday!! Lol, OMG, if only you coulda seen me backpedal out of that conversation. He's a really nice kid, but I had to let him know that I wasn't looking for anything beyond friendship.
Alas, I truly can be an ass sometimes. And for those weirdo's wondering--I no longer have a date with him. Come to find out the movie is rated R. :-P
